I made a plea for help on 9-14-05 and no one came to my aid. The forum don't like to talk about stand alone dvd recorders. I wanted to know if their was a way to get it recognize digital cable. The only way I know is to watch the program being recorded. Is their some device to use in conjunction with cable box which reads digital sidnals?

According to what I'm reading right now it says your dvd recorder needs to have a cable box interface. Here is the link to the page.
