Default Audio Equipment Question...

sponsored links

K I have no knowledge in regards to audio technology so here goes....

I have 2 speakers that the connectors uses wires that need to be stripped (red & black) I would like to connect them to something that has a RCA audio connection. Is there any kind of adapters to do this? If so can anyone provide a link as to where to buy?

Thanks alot.....

So the speakers have the connector sockets on the back with no leads connected.

If so you just need an RCA lead with the other end of the lead having no plug connected, i.e. wire ended.

In the UK i would get this from a maplin shop, but have no idea as to where you can go in your country.

Or you can get two RCA plugs, length of twin speaker cable, and make your own up, the speaker cable will have a marker along its one edge, this will go to the centre connection of the RCA plug representing the RED connection to the speaker.

sadly I have no idea on what your talking about...

Anychance you can give me a link to a online shop that has what I need?

I'm from the U.S but even if the shop doesn't ship to U.S a picture will still be very appreciated.

Thanks....

I to am not shure what you are on about.

Have the speakers got a connection box on the back that the speaker wires are connected into ?, usually coloured red/black.

If so you need a lead that has an RCA plug on one end of the wire and the other end has no plug fitted, it would be connected to the connection box on the back of the speaker.

As you live in the US go to a Radio Shack store, they should be able to supply what you need.

They were called Tandys here in the UK, but have almost vanished here due to the fact they were crap.

In other words you just need 2 RCA plugs and a length of speaker wire, (cut into two lengths) (one for each speaker), and solder the plug to one end of the wire, the other end will fit into the connector at the back of each speaker.
