Default Help buying a processor

sponsored links

I have about 70 to spend on a processor.

Im looking at buying a AMD processor.

Anyone got advise which is the best processor to buy for this money.

should i be looking at a AMD M2 or Athlon 64 DC (939).

I want this processor to last a few years so i wont be looking at a processor that i will need to upgrade in the next year.

If you have advise on this subject or could advise me on any others please let me know.

Many Thanks

The difference between the M2 and the 939 is the socket type, which is how they connect to the motherboard.

939 is being phased out, if it's not dead alreadly, and the M2 replaces it, so it should be the one to go for.

Try to get a dual core if you can afford it.

BTW, if you already have the motherboard, you will have to match the processor to it, so your options may be limited.

It depends on what you intend to use the PC for, as to which processor would be the best.
