It is not showing in Device manager.

When i restore it from "System Restore" , the next day i am unable to find the same.

Any Reinstallation procedure .(Only for CD rom)

The drive needs testing in another comp if possible to see if it is OK or faulty.

If it's OK the only thing i can say is to try doind a fresh install of XP.

Default CD ROM not recognized new problem

I was trying to get some files from my Toshiba 250GB External drive. When I plugged it to the usb port the light on the drive turned on, but it never got recognized by my system. I was able to use a Sandisk Cruzer, but would like to be able to use this Toshiba.
