Default Russian support under WinME or XP ?

sponsored links

We have a customer whos 75, just new to computers and who like to be able to use Windows (english) with russian support, such as able to :
View webpages in russian
Read emails (Outlook) from people who sent emails in russian
Compose emails (Outlook) in mixture of english and russian.

If any of you guys had any experience with the above, could you please let me know if its possible, or what extra I need in order to create a system for him.

I have already sourced a russian keyboard from here

But unsure if its total russian or mixed, if you know where to get a mixed KB, could you post the addy (UK or Europe).

Thanks for any help

[url=***********.linguatech.co.uk/multi.htm]This might help. It seems rather easy to use. However you really wouldn't need it except for the composing emails in a mixture of Cyrillic and English. Russian does tend to be a bit buggier than all the other languages for some reason though.

Otherwise download the Multilanguage Support installation from MS. Then in Regional Options add in cyrillic. Add Russian in Keyboard properties and pick a hotkey to switch back and forth choosing to leave an indicator on the taskbar.

I'm not sure where to get a keyboard, however you might want to think about getting one from the states. They have a couple [url=***********.webideas.bigstep.com/]here that are much cheaper than what you were looking at even with shipping to the UK.
