Convert Panasonic HS60 MTS to AIC MOV for FCP/iMovie compatible with Mac-Merge/Deinterlace/Edit/Trim load MTS Files
The Panasonic HDC-HS60 uses the same AVCHD compliant compression system as last year’s HD models from Panasonic. This compression system, which uses the MPEG4-AVC/H.264 codec is a standard in the consumer camcorder industry for high definition camcorders.
While you are trying to load and import Panasonic HS60 MTS video file to iMovie, there is conversion to Apple intermediate codec (AIC) for iMovie to edit the file. All Mac OS X software which makes use of the QuickTime codec libraries - primarily Final Cut Studio, Final Cut Express, and iMovie can use the Apple Intermediate Codec (AIC).

Below is the step-by-step guide for you to quickly convert Panasonic HS60 AVCHD to Apple Intermediate Codec (*.mov) for editing in iMovie/FCE/FCP on Mac.
Step 1. Download and Import Panasonic HS60 AVCHD (MTS/M2TS) files to Aunsoft MTS/M2TS Converter for Mac.
Connect your Panasonic HS60 AVCHD camcorder to Apple computer via USB cable, find recodings from the camcorder. Then copy and transfer the files from camcorder to the Apple hard drive disk. Step 3. Merge/Deinterlace/Edit/Trim load MTS Files.(Optional)

After the conversion, you can easily import Apple Intermediate Codec MOV to FCE/FCP/iMovie without rendering for editing.
