Unhappy RAR files???

Hi all, i downloaded a film and now i have a folder full of RAR files. I downloaded Winrar, but it doesen't recognise the files.

Any idea's what i will need to make this film play...also need to burn it to vcd asap.

Any help much appreciated.

Well if they are RAR files and you have the latest version of winRAR and it doesn't recognise them then I would suggest that the files are corrupt. Did you also download an SFV? If so check them.

Anyway, I'm moving this to Open

I have winrar and when I download corrupted file they are stil recognised.

Try right click>open with Then select winrar from a programme list or browse to find the programme file.........

Hope this works..........

Hi again. i tried to right click and open with Winrar, but the same result.

The last file in the folder is an SFV file and i can't open that either.

sorry about posting in the wrong place. i thought this area would be best for this.

The film is taken from a Bit Torrent site and is confirmed as a good file.

Do you get any particular error when you try to open the files. What file extensiopn do they have?

It just says something like "The archive is either an unknown file format or damaged."

The thing is that this film has been verified as a working download so i'm hoping i am missing a codec or something?

Each rar file starts with "smf" if that helps?
