Default Temporary internet files

sponsored links

Lately, i have been browsing through my hard drive, and found that the drive was drowing in cookies, saved URL's and temporary internet files all over the place.
I found them in many, many places. Since i'm quite keen on my privacy... is there any way to do a thorough cleaning?

Usual programs like History Eraser prooved to perform a lowsy job...

In Internet Explorer, go to Tools, Internet Options and then the General tab. There, you can adjust the number of days of History to keep and the amount of disk space for cookies.

I know that, but that is not quite what i meant.

When i delete all cookies and temporary files, still lots of files are all over my hard drive. Programs like Norton Internet Security are piling files and URL's by the dozen

Right click on your Internet Ex Icon and choose properites go to Advanced set up and tick the button ask me before accepting cookies .. this is pain in the A***E as you will constantly get popups asking you if you want to allow them to be placed on Your HD but if you want to keep track of them then this is a way to do it HTH
