Hi all

Can anyone advise me on the best software program to copy games and at what the settings need to be. Plus is there a type of disk you need to use or will any quality disk do?

Thanks for your help everyone...

You cannot make direct backups of Dreamcast games.
There is no software that will do it because a PC drive cannot read a GD-ROM disc.

You need to mount the Dreamcast as an external drive to rip data to the PC via a coders serial cable or DC broadband adapter. You may also have to downsample video / audio depending on the game size. You then have to add a dummy file and build a bootable CD image for burning. If you search, you can probably still get all the apps you'd need, but it's not a simple process.

If you need a backup, it's easier to just find the game for download.

Discjuggler or Nero are the best apps for burning DC image files, as long as your burner is supported. Always burn at slow speed and use quality media to reduce wear on your Dreamcast laser mechanism.
