Default Can no longer burn Audio Cd's

sponsored links
My operating system is Microsoft Windows XP with service pack 2 Media Center addition. I have had problems with my computer recognizing this drive. I have tried new blank cd's doesn't work, I have used other burner programs like Windows Media Player I tunes and Sonic and still it does not recognize the drive. I can play auido Cd's but can't record. I have uninstalled the driver and reinstalled it and still nothing. I have even got a cd burner from a friend that said his worked and I put it in my machine and it still did not recognize it. I have restored to an earlier date and still nothing. Any advise would be appreciated.
