Unhappy VIRUS??? - Help Required!!!

sponsored links

Can anyone help me with the following:

On a couple of occasions now I have received a failed e-mail (Yahoo) which says:

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its
recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es)
failed:

toonbroon@hotmail.com
This message has been rejected because it has
an apparently executable attachment install.exe
This is a virus prevention measure.
If you meant to send this file then please
package it up as a zip file and resend it.

------ This is a copy of the message, including all the headers. ------
------ The body of the message is 192621 characters long; only the
first
------ 65536 or so are included here.

Trouble is I never sent any e-mail!!!!!

Have I got a virus or trojan?? I run regular chesks with AVG and use Zonealarm.

Any help greatly appreciated.

A lot of viruses can send emails without you knowing m8. Badtrans for example doesn't even need your email software to be open to do it. Make sure your anti virus software is bang up to date - d/l any upgrades straight away. You would also do very well to d/l "the cleaner" it's an excellent trojan checker. Not all anti virus software will detect trojans. Get it from moosoft.com I think.

As Danny said The Cleaner is about the best. But remember, just like A/V software it's only as good as the last update, so make sure you use the Moosoft Live Update on a regular basis to make sure you have the latest definition file.
