Default DVD-R works on Computer but NOT in standard DVD player

sponsored links

Hi,

At the weekend I brought a Pioneer DVD-105 DVD Writer to hopefully backup some of my prized DVD's but I am having problems playing the created discs on my stand alone DVD players.

When I have backed up the DVD and burnt it to a disk, the DVD works fine on my computers internal DVD drive but NOT on any of my stand alone DVD players. I have 7 standard alone DVD players around my home and the created DVD doesnt work on any of them.
Its doesnt even work on my Panasonic DMR-E30 Recordable DVD.
On some of the DVD players they try and read the disc but then fail and on others it says bad disc.

I have tried about 3 different types of media and the result is always the same.

The created vob files on hard drive work fine, the created DVD plays fine in the computers DVD........

My process of DVD-DVDR is as follows

1: Use DVD Decrypter ( Most recent version) to decrypt DVD to HD
2: Use DVD2One to create the processed files to the HD ( Most recent version)

3: Use Copy2DVD to burn the disc, I have also used Nero to burn the disc and its still the same result.

Can anyone shed any light on what it is I might be doing wrong?

Thanks

Skizz

Your players must be able to read dvd-r media too....

You're probablyusing some old version of Nero, get the latest one, its free from nero.com

skizz...
ur 7 standalone...
are they new? or..old?
if they're old..then that might be the reason why they wont' play dvdrs...

u might need a new dvd player then...
i remember couple yrs back...friend of mine..had a lot of burned vcds...he tried to play them..they wouldn't work..played fine in my standalone..
cause mine was newer and it was capable of playing cdrs...his wasn't..
*shrugs*

Here are my DVD Players 3 of them were brought in the last 3 months

DVD Players / Recorders

2x Panasonic RV-32
2x Panasonic DMR-e30 (Recordable's)
1x Encore DV-450
1x Accoustic Solutions 421
1x Proline DV1000 ( which i know wont play DVDR's
1x Pioneer DVD-105

Software and Versions

DVD Decrypter v3.1.5.0
DVD2One v1.1.1
COPY2DVD v2.1.1.106
Nero v5.5.10.20

Blank Media

Bulkpaq Purple top Gen 3 discs
FWS White label discs

Computer

P4 3Ghz CPU
1 Gig Ram DDR 400
128 Geforce 2 card
120 Gig 7200 RPM HD

I am sure most of it is up to date, maybe it is the media I am using using. I have just ordered some different discs to see if it helps.

The bulkpaq discs work fine when I recored onto them from my Panasonic DMR-e30 and after the disc has been finalized they play on all DVD's apart from the proline.

I am at a loss????

Thanks
