Default "HIGH SPEED" CD-RW's

sponsored links
I bought a bunch of "HIGH SPEED" (ie. 8X~10X, Memorex brand ) CD-RWs (at a cheap price) and tried to burn on them from my HP 8901 CD burner - but the CD-RWs are not recognized.

It looks like these are only compatible in a special "HIGH SPEED" CD writer - so my quetion is would I be able to use these in DVD-burner???

Thanks and regards.

You can use it in any burner that is rated the same or more than the speed of the media.

If your DVD burner states it can burn CDR/W's at 8X or more, then yes.

The HP 8901 cannot burn high speed CDRW media.
My former HP9100 could only burn CDRW media 1X-4X.
They should be fine in a DVD burner though.
