Default Commercial Super cdg-Backing up with Dual Layer DVD?

sponsored links

I have not been in these forums in a long time. It seems that karaoke stuff has been outlawed. I don't want to make anybody angry, but I have, I think, a simple DVD Copy question. If I purchase a Super CDG, $150 or so, can I make a backup using Nero, or Roxio, or some other software that can be used to copy a dvd disc?

Some Super CDG's are stuffed with almost two thousand songs or so and I think are probably dual layered. Does this come in to play?

I know how to make my own Super CDG version of my discs. I have made backups of the Super CDG's that I, mayself have created. I don't use dual Layers when creating or backing up.

I'm talking about backing up commercial Super CDG's. I'm just a bit skiddish about making a big purchase that could be ruined by a single scratch. There is a website that will sell info on how to backup commercial Super CDG's. However, I can't believe that this info is going to be anything special.

Again, sorry if my question is verboten

Default Super CDG Backup

You can just copy the DVD to a folder on your hard drive and then burn it back to a blank DVD. Super CDGs only protection is that it is a Dual Layer DVD.

If you have a DL DVD burner you can just copy it.

Default Very old post,...hopefully still around!

I am relatively new to this whole buying Super CDG thing. I have, what I think, two simple things,....maybe not!

1. I want to make a backup copy of the 7 SCDG discs I have.
2. Take a few (OK,..several) single CDG's and make a compilation into one SCDG.

I'm looking around and most of these posts are very old,...and didn't seem to answer things!

Is there a way!
