Default Sony Vaio Pcv-rs100 recovery disc

I desperatley need a recovery disc for this model.
when i first bought the computer it said I had to make a recovery disc..so i did and when i really needed it. It said i needed a cd labeled Vol.1.
But now i had to put a generic windows xp pro into my computer because my harddrive crashed. And i need the actualy OS for the vaio

Try this:

Symptom:
ERROR: Insert the Recovery CD Vol.1 and press the [OK] button. Your computer will restart.

Resolution:

This error may occur when trying to perform a format and recovery. This issue is caused when the recovery process was prematurely cancelled. Follow the procedure below to resolve this issue.

A patch to resolve this issue is available on the Sony PC Support web site at ***********.sony.com/pcsupport.

Remove the Partition Recovery CD (PRCD) from the CD/DVD drive.
In the VAIO Recovery window, click the cancel button.
Click the Start button, then click Run....
In the Run window, next to Open:, type msconfig.
Click the OK button.
In the System Configuration Utility window, click the Startup tab.
On the Startup tab, ensure that there is a check mark in the partseal box.
NOTE: If there is not a check mark in the partseal box, click to select.

Click the OK button.
In the System Configuration dialog box, click the Restart button.
NOTE: If other users are currently logged into the computer, a warning will appear that they may lose data if the computer is shut down. To restart the computer, in the Windows dialog box, click the Yes button.

Click the Start button, then click My Computer.
In the My Computer window, click the Local Disk C: icon.
In the Local Disk C: window, click the Windows folder.
NOTE: If a warning These files are hidden appears, click show contents of this folder.

In the Windows window, click the Sonysys folder.
NOTE: If a warning These files are hidden appears, click show contents of this folder.

In the Sonysys window, click the Vaio Recovery folder.
In the VAIO Recovery window, click the Reminder icon.
On the taskbar, right-click the reminder [FIG. 1] icon.
Click Create CD.
In the VAIO Recovery Startup CD Wizard window, click the cancel box.
In the VAIO Recovery Startup CD Wizard box, click Yes.
When the VAIO Recovery Startup CD Creation Reminder box appears, insert the Recovery Startup CD.
Click OK to restart the computer.

If you already have an XP Pro CD, what don't you just format and install that with the latest drivers for your hardware.

Certainly better than using Sony Vaio recovery images.
