Question Sony Vaio Laptop problems?

sponsored links

Ok having now managed to format and power up my mates Vaio, we encountered some problems with the following:

Cannot get the screen to fully fit the actual laptop screen which leads me onto the next problem, The laptop function keys are not working?
Now seeing as we ain't got no paperwork or restore disc's im assuming it probably will be driver related as we're not connected to the internet on it, so is it a case of hooking it upto the web and updating the drivers?.
As i said we have no driver disc's or recovery disc's we just formatted it and reinstalled a new XP OS.
If you can help id appreciate it!

Cheers

You got it right, it's most likely a driver problem, gotta have em! If it's a problem with the function key's, I'd be suprised. What graphics chip is in that lappie? LMK what you'll need and I'll see if I can help in any way.

is it a wireless lan or regular ethernet? you can download a generic ethernet driver and then install it in there then windows update to get all the rest of the drivers.
