Default Wireless Networkcutting out

sponsored links
Have a problem with a new wireless network.
I fitted a wireless router between me PC and Cable Modem. (Cable connection)
two other PC's in the house (both upstairs) are connected by wireless network cards.
They set up easy enough and are only used so my kids can connect to the internet.

The trouble being, they keep disconnecting all the time and take ages to reconnect. The range is meant to be upto 200ft, 1 pc is approx 12ft away though the ceiling, 2nd PC is approx 40ft.

The router is Belkinwireless G router 54MBPS 802.11g 2.4ghz
the other 2 pc's have same model wireless network cards.

Any help appreciated

There could be interference between the router and the PCs. Wireless isn't very good at going through walls. It's difficult to say what could be interfering with your signal, could be a cordless phone, cell phone, microwave, electrical wiring, etc. Maybe moving the router might help.
