is there a way to get around a games video memory requirements? I am on a friends laptop, and i wanted to install GTA 3 for him, because he just bought it, (he is computer illiterate...lol), and he only has 4mb of video memory, and GTA 3 requires 12 mb....any way? Other than upgrading...

There is no way.
GTAIII states it needs 12mb as that is the physical requirements.

No you can't get round it. There is a good reason why GTA 3 says it doesn't run unless it has > 12MB memory because it needs it to run!

There is possibily that you can add RAM to the video card as it shares the memory from the physical RAM, and that's depends the spec of the VGA card and how much memory you have on system.
