Default my computer freezes all the time..what to do!!!

sponsored links

I really know nothing about compouters.....sooo

My computer is freezing like... A LOT. at least 2 time a day, if not more. Im no genius, but I know that thats not good.

Im wondering if it a virus, or something else???

Someone told me that it might help to de-install windows and then reinstall it, becasue it gets all clogged up with old programs etc.. How would I do this... I suppose id have to back up my HD, but is there like an option on the computer for that....or do i just burn all my programs to Cdrs...

Also, when u install windows, is it a step by step easy to do kinda thing....like most other programs or games you install, or is it all complicated and crap??

Any help would be appreciated,

-Crescen

-p3
-500mhz
-like 12-13 gigs
-128 ram

I dont think its casue i have to little ram or anything. Casue i always check the "system configuration" and usually it says that of the 128mb i have like 83% free.

When you say it freezes does it completely stop working or is it just one or two programs that freeze?

Have you got all the updates from Microsoft?
