Unhappy laptop battery [Dell; Insperon; winME]

Cant quite figure this 1 out... 1 day last week i was out in the yard w/my laptop... and it ran 4 bout 4 hrs off of the battery... the next day after it had been charging overnight i went back out in the yard w/it and not 15 mins later i got the low battery warning and didnt even have enoph time left 2 shut down... is this normal???... if it is how do i fix it??? ne ideas would b greatfully accepted... thankz

Well, you need to charge it again for 8 - 10 Hrs. once it is completely down.

Does your Dell laptop run really hot with both batterys in charging is that normal?

i only have 1 battery... but yah it does run really hot... but its normal... u might download a program called cpuidle... what it does is it cuts power 2 the parts of the processor that rnt being used... but dont worry none... when those parts r needed it instantly gives um power... it cuts down the heat majorly and it gives ya more batt life... that is if my battery worked... oh and by the way... my batt is still doin that... the drain and charge didnt work... ne more ideas???

Laptop batteries that are used a lot only last approximately a year to two years. You might need a new one.
