Question GeForce FX5200 [self built AMD 2800+; ; winME]

sponsored links

Just installed the above graphics card and after an extensive hunt round the Internet for the latest drivers.
My problem is that I have what I can only describe as ghosting (like you get on a portable TV with an old coat hanger as an aerial ) on screen it's very annoying. I'm sure it's only a matter of a setting somewhere but WHERE? Refresh rate maybe, but a bit worried about the warnings you get when changing settings

Any help would be most welcome

Athlon 2800+
Gigabyte K7 Triton
512mb 3200 ram
GeForce FX5200-dv128
80gb 7200 hard drive

Windows ME

Dell 21" p1110 Monitor

Thanks again

What is the current refresh rate set to? You can change the refresh rate settings and always change them back to the default if need be. I wouldn't worry about the warning when you change it.

Thanks for the reply

Was set to default. I've been through all the refresh rate settings from 60Hz to 120Hz
at 60Hz it is the least noticeable but the screen flickering is at it's worst. 120Hz is the clearest picture but the shadow is the most noticeable, now got it running at 75Hz, not perfect but not as bad as it was.
