Default W98SE driver for Belkin network adapter

sponsored links

hi folks,
i'm unable to install the driver from w98se for a new purchase & install of a belkin NIC 10/100. i had no problem whatsoever installing the same NIC on another pc using belkin's install instr. for w98.

when the found new HW appears i've tried: searching, browsing, changing pci slot, and using a different w98 cd. i can get the card recognized in device manager through belkin's cd but the driver must come from w98

it will be difficult to set up a wireless NW if i can't even accomplish this...

thank you

Default problem solved

once the necessary inf is ID'd, found, & installed then files from c:windows\system AND the w98 cd installed the nic is installed & recognized properly.

of course i had to call belkin. and yes, to my surprise, they have sunday phone support which was efficient...though he wasn't an american... :splat:

In other words, he was polite, friendly, and very helpful.
