Published data from the market research institutions comScore survey shows, in January of this year, the new increase rate of the U.S. smart phone users is 767000 per week. The rate of increase is in the expected increase of the agency. The rate of new smart phone users in the United States last November is only a week growth of 300000, far less than comScore expected increases. However, in last December, the rate of increase suddenly soared to more than 1,500,000, far beyond the agency's expected to increase.

To the fourth quarter of the year, the on-line of increase rate will probably reach 1 million a week.

By the end of January, smart phones in the U.S. market share up to 43.3%, rose 1.45% than December last year.

Investigation also shows, in the latest 12 months, the United States has 35 million users choose to buy and use the smart phone, this is equivalent to the 15% of all mobile phone users. So far to June 28 this year, smart phones in the U.S. market share is expected to be 50%.

In the U.S. smartphone operating system market, by the end of December, 2011, the absolute number of users, Android system has close to 50 million, in first. The second to the fourth is iPhone (30 million), RIM BlackBerry (15 million) and Microsoft (4.5 million, including Windows Mobile and Windows Phone).

To sum up, the U.S. smartphone market will continue to present a two big trends: one is that the smartphone share will gradually close to capacity; two is Android and iOS two big operating system market share seems to continue to rise. And whether can keep the present users don't defected to other operating systems, and whether we can try and win more smart mobile phone new users will be two key factors for any system manufacturers who hope to score "return miracle".
