Default AAAHH!! I cant extract an PS2DVD ISO on my Windows 98 SE system??

What is going on with this crap??? Do I need WIndows XP?? or do I have to have windows XP and Convert my File system to NFTS or whatever it is, or does windows XP automatically convert it??

And if I do convert to NFTS will it damage any of my programs and files on the computer??

i think you can only unpack files under 2 gigs with Window 98,because of Fat32.
So yeah my bet is to convert to Xp,and youll have no problems at all.
But Xp dosent convert the file,it just dont have the 2 gig limit.

Win 2k,NT or XP all use NTFS, it'll make your computers performance better and faster accessing stuff from hard drive etc, FAT32 is slow and unrelialb,e

Actually with NTFS there is a 5% performance hit due to the security model employed within the file system, can become more fragmented than a fat32 system but is more robust.


The 4GB limit is indeed your problem, but you can read a 4gb file in a fat32 system by booting up in DOS mode, this is how some dvdrips were managed

get NT 2000 or XP, then use Partition Magic and just make your whole drive NTFS. or you could make a 5 gig partition and make that NTFS rather your whole hard drive.
