heres a link to a vapochill ***********.hothardware.com/hh_files/CCAM/vapochillp4.shtml

If you want better cooling then you could also use LN2

There are also 2600-2700xp's hitting 3gig+ and they will spank a p4 at 4gig at many things

Uh Huh sure, what other intelligent coment are you going to post next? . Kinda hard to belive that a "3+" ghz athlon xp can beat a 4.12 ghz P4, or maybe its just me.

I wonder...a 3Ghz Athlon XP must be WAY below sub-zero so it doesn't melt....
And I find hard to believe that a 3ghz Athlon can beat a 4ghz P4

Cheers and Merry Christmas

HUH, ***********17.tomshardware.com/cpu/20021001/xp_2800-17.html

The 2800xp clock speed is only 2.166ghz and it performs pretty much the same as a p4 @2.8ghz so why would an xp@ around 3.1-3.2gig not keep up with a p4@4.1gig? cos 3.1-3.2 gig xp must have a pr rating of well over 4gig.

Yes the p4 excells in memory bandwidth but now that dual ddr is out for the ahtlon that is getting much closer and if you read my post i said it would spank it at some things not everything.

Also the new ahtlon tred b's are now on a 13micron process and need less volts and therefore give of less heat.

The P4's have Dual DDR Mobo's also, and the prescots are coming out, wihch have a 800 mhz FSB and .09 micron. And why are you comparing The athlon xp's that run on Dual DDR Mobo's when the p4 are on regular RDRAM mobo's? Why won't you try to compare the Dual P4 and the Daul Athlons?
Also look at my next post on the next page for some benchmarks that are better suited for our comparision.
