Angry How to deal with SPAM ?

sponsored links

To quote someone on another forum, they said -
I have a few hundred email filters on, but I keep getting more and more spam. No matter how many filters... I get at least 30 spam mails per day, and I put more filters on for each piece of spam (when I can, without potentially blocking legit stuff).
I never show my email address anyway, I'm sick to death of this, Is there anything I can do? I thought of just closing my current email accounts, and starting a new one, but I think that would be just too inconvenient.
Nowadays all web-surfers understand this problem all too well, as I suspect, many do here, so maybe any advice on how to deal with it, could be collated in this post for all to see, while also possibly, a moderator could arrange for it to become a 'sticky' on each board
- or at least for a month or two.

I think then this idea of mine would benefit most people here, as i feel its getting worse these days...

PS- If I here of any new advice about this, i'll certainly add my info as i'm currently researching this matter.

'good luck to you all

Roger, IS Mail Washer worthwhile ??. The feature I liked was that
it returns the e-mail as if from the ISP ,so eventually
you should get taken of mailing lists etc. Is that working for you ?

Other main concern is, how do you know for certain that its
not returning important e-mails that are not spam ??.

Thanks for any advice

Default spamkiller

I was receiving up to 30 **** messages a week on one of my email accounts although on my other isp i received none.

Complaing to the ISP was a waste of time.

I then fitted Spamkiller 4 cost 17 and told it just to send me emails from my friends.
It works a treat.

If you tell it to send all Emails you receive Spam as well as Friends.
