Default laptop or desktop?

sponsored links

i currently have a desktop, but im moving to a university in 3 weeks and i was wondering if i should get a laptop and leave my desktop home. The reason im debating this is because i use my desktop alot and i have usually have it on everyday. Do laptops have the same power as desktop when it comes to leaving them on for days without turning them off or do they overheat? Any suggestions would be nice. Thanks in advance

If you go out and buy a laptop go with the pentium M processor, since its temps are lower. Most laptops run hot because there is little room for the heat to escape, ventilation sucks. Laptops have the hibernate mode when left on. Its also going to be more expensive for a laptop, so thats one thing to consider, since your in school and I dont think you want to haul around a tower and monitor, I would go with a laptop.

As far as I know leaving that on,should be fine as long as your room isnt a sauna. I have a regular laptop that I havent shut off in 2 weeks and works fine.
