Question Best & quickest MP3 ripper supporting track names??

Ive looked on the net, and want to get REAL peoples views on this.....i used several different apps a few years ago, mp3encoder and Xing somthing or another, but have been usinf iTunes on my mac for the past year or so which is great in that you can connect to the net and get all the track names donwloaded to the tracks and it embeds them as ID3 tags...great, although it takes ages to encode a disc, like about 2 or 3 times real time....whats the best, quickest mp3 encoder for the pc that will embed the track names froim the ccbd on the web....all comments welcome. Cheeeeeers!

I'm going to move this the audio forum. I personally use dBpowerAMP.

dBPowerAMP is my preference as well. Of course you are ripping, encoding and downloading CDDB info, so it will be slower than just ripping to wave files without CDDB. dBPowerAMP is a fast encoder however.

Welcome to the "other side" matey..

Anyway, ditto the above - who's to argue with those two?? heh heh..

You could also use CDex... Personally I'm surprised at how quick the CDDB lookup is with *both* of these - don't think I could live without it though, even if it was slow...

Thanks guys for this - dbPoweramp rocks, easy, simple, top quliaty, great options, and not too slow - ive used quicker encoders encoding wavs from straight CDs using the hacked cd driver thing - but of course u thne need to do the tags and track names - this software rules!!

alfabetya, glad it worked for you and thanks for the feedback. Support the developer and get the Powerpack when you can, it adds some nice features like a better normalizer.
