Default Neo 2.6 auto dvd key problems!

I opened my ps2 and put in my chip the board said n3 it looks just like the version 5 board so I installed it like it should be and now hardly any of the games will boot and when they do boot the freeze after alittle bit of play is my chip bad or is the board wrong or can someone help with with this problem I just put the chip in last night please someone with a 2.6 reply and help me if you have the same problem thanks.

something is wrong, but I don't think it was the chip, I'd put my guess on the laser or something you messed up on the soldering job. If your ps2 still plays originals and dvds fine, it isn't the laser, if not it is the laser.
