Default future ps2 games to detect mods?

sponsored links

I am hearing now that future ps2 games may be able to detect mod chips and may not work if one is installed, thus i was thinkin bout getting a usbmod which u can unplug or turn off, but when i am thinking that i will need my usb ports for when the ps2 modem and ps2 keyboard come out. does anyone have any truth to the future ps2 games being mod resistant thats one reason i ws favoring hte usb mod.. i just need the usb ports

the games won't detect a mod in place it's the hardware that would detect the mod.(and the fact that the ps2 has been successfully modded would negate the rumor) now on the ps3... that's another matter.

how can the games now detect a mod!? they did it with the ps1 i dont see how they cant on here. However if the game can detect it there will be a gameshark code to stop it just like the ps1..

the messiah should have no problems as it convinces the machine that any ps2 format disk is an orignal and should boot

Didn't the ps1 mods do the same thing the messiah. It injects the code to the machine telling the cd is an original. I don't see why newer games can't be coded to detect the mods like in the ps1. BUt then newer chips will be out to negate this. Then we all going to have to re solder on some new mods chips.

If they ever develope a way of detecting the chip, I'm sure some clever chappy will just make a patch to overcome it anyway
