what do I need & how do I copy a VHS prog to DVD???

You'll need a video card with line in capabilities. Hook up cables to your VCR's audio and video out ports, hook up the other ends of the cables to the card's audio and video in ports. Play the movie and start recording with some sort of recording program...I like WinDVR. You should be aware though that your recording's image quality will not be as good as a store bought DVD due to the low resolution of VHS tape. You'll need to set your capture to 720 x 480 as that is the required size to make a DVD. Once you finish recording, you would have to use a program like Ulead to make DVD files. Then just burn onto a DVD. There may be an easier way to do this but this is the method that I use. Good luck!
