Default Where are "SPDIF Out" Sound Cards to Play divX and MP3 etc.?

sponsored links
Where are the SPDIF out Sound Cards? SIIG had one for under $20, but it is discontinued. TigerDirect offers a Pine for $17, but their web information is faulty and it does not have the co-ax SPDIF output. SoundBlaster Live for $30 is supposed to have one but there is no co-ax output.

I have one on my Sigma Hollywood Plus DVD player card, and my ATI, all in wonder pro, but those only work when I play DVDs. I want all of my Computer sounds run through my sound card to play out of an SPDIF digital co-ax output, to my Denon Amplifier that has the DTS and Dolby Digital decoder. Am I asking for too much.

The new sound cards want you to hook up four speakers (to get 5.1 sound) to the card, and use the computer as your amplifier. This does not integrate well with my stereo system, and presumably will not offer the same quality as my Denon system. Where did the SPDIF output sound cards go. They should be selling for $20, but I think I have to spend over $100 to find one now.

Any advice, anyone have one to sell? Am I behind or in front of the technology curve

If you get a Nvidia based motherboard then I believe it has hardware dolby encoding so that you can output any source out of the SPDIF... With a regular SPDIF out you would have to do a bit of tweaking, probably with graphedit and some directshow filters to get it to output all sources through SPDIF.
