Default hard drive space error

help please im trying to install windvd on laptop i have 35gb of space unused but when trying t install it says( there is not enough space on drive c to extract this package . please free up 31.48 mb and try again )

anybody any ideas please

Some programs extract to a temporary folder first, then install or unpack from there.

If you have the option of choosing which folder it unpacks to, try another folder instead of the default one, like for example Desktop.

If not, check which temporary directory it's going to and empty that folder out as it may be full or have corrupt files.

Also try running scandisk or chkdsk to make sure your free space isn't being misidentified.
