Default MODchip upgrade question

sponsored links
I currently have the Xecuter chip installed in my XBOX (V1.0) and would like to upgrade to the Chameleon found on I installed the Evo-X Dashboard and a few apps to my HDD. I have a few questions however:

1) Will installing the Chameleon interfere with the Evo-X Dashboard and whatever else on my HDD at all?
2) Does the Chameleon come pre-flashed?
3) Is it necessary to purchase the programmer just to play backups?
4) And if I decide to remove the original Xecuter, will attempting to load apps or even turn on the XBOX damage it?
