Gigabite ethernet does you no good unless your router/hub/switch supports it.

Snapper - right, if i get a gigabit router then i could use it, right?

Is it going to be a lot faster with DLs in WINMX etc ? or just DLs in general.

Not really, your service provider already has a set limit what your speed is, so switching to a gig wont help in downloading. I 99% positive on that, I have been wrong before.

Mr Snatcher(or whatever his name is now) is totally correct. It won't matter a bit as your ISP already limits your speed.
