You'll need a good high-end machine in order to play this game properly. Your machine will run it but it'll be so slow that it'll make the game unplayable. Even people with 1Ghz+ CPUs and good video cards are having issues.

I have a P4 clocked at 2.13Ghz with 384mb ram and a Radeon VE video card and I get framerate drops even at 640x480x16.

700mhz
192mb pc133
GeForce 2 Pro
sound blaster 16

and I run at 640x480x16 with some modified files and I get around 30 FPS. It very playable. Even without the modified files I was getting around 30 FPS.

I got a Celeron 400, 96 megs RAM, 16 MB ATI RAGE PRO card and GTA3 runs on my system. It runs slow though but I've been playing anyway. You don't really need a high high end system, but you may need something a little faster than what you have now. I guess I'm stuck with playing this game slowly until I decide to upgrade
