Default Jap PS2 Probs - Help

sponsored links

I've got a Jap PS2 (SCHP 10000) chipped.
Am using the DVD X (Jap) to play backups but am having problems with DVD-R and even original DVD-Rom (UK) games.
What are other Jap PS2 users doing to overcome this??

Cheers

Sol Man

What chip do you have installed

use a Japanese original dvd with a large TOC and if you make a copy of your UK dvd-roms they should work. Dunno know if the origa chip works in that model but if it does then that is probably the way to go

Very interested in this myself - got a scph 10000 Jap PS2 too. Got a really old modchip - have to boot up the utils disc (v1.0) twice before I can play a 74 min cd.

PS2 daddy is right - origachip (1.25 now I think) is the best that we can get, but I"m having probs finding someone to install it for me!

Sol man - how do you use dvdx? Knife trick? or is yours the chip that ejects the tray after a few seconds? or same as mine? (load util disc, eject button, power button twice, reload, press X then O and swap fast!)

Yeah I use the knife trick with dvd x, and yeah i use the same swap method with the utility disk as you.
Constantly having problems with all different types of backups.
Wasn't there a Jap version of the M*****H chip??
