Into Ulead dvd workshop? Every time I try this of if the frame rate is 29 fps it always fails even if I change my setting from pal which is what I would use to NTSC Should I give up on Ulead and use something else?

23 or 23.976? If 23.976 then you would need to use something that supports a 3:2 pulldown as 29.976 is the only acceptable NTSC framerate for DVD. You could also encode at 23.976 and then perform the pulldown afterwards, but once again the program would need to support it.

Try TMPGEnc or CCE.
