Default X Y Z Partitions

What are these partitions used for? I was just wonderinng cause mine seem to be filled up with cache data and was wondering if this is going to affect performance or gamesaves?

As far as I know, games use them to store info while they are running. If you put anything in there yourself it will be deleted automatically.

as i understood it, they are like the RAM memory in a pc, not able to save to it...
