Default Long burning times? Pioneer 104

I just received my Pioneer 104 dvd burner today and right now I am burning Bruce Lee with PrimoDVD and it says the recording time will take 2 hours! Is that a normal time? It is burning extremly slow right now. The iso file is 3.8gig. Also, the settings I use are DAOclosed and mode1 correct? I tried to burn Gauntlet and that took like 45min(900mb) and it didn't work, hopefully I wont have to go and buy new media. I am using Princo dvd-rw.

There is no problem. Nothing wrong with your burner. DVD burning speed is 2x. Thats slow comparing to CD-burner technology that burn up to 40x! All you need is patience my friend. Dont bother reading vcdhelp. Your burner max speed is 2x. No manuals will help you. Also to the guy with p4 1.5 ghz, dude, doesnt matter if you got p3 500 or pentium4 2.2. Your burner speed is not based on your Motherboard CPU.

I didn't think the cpu mattered but I thought I'd throw it in just in case. So you are saying that burning a file that is 3.8 gig writing at 2x is supposed to take 2 hours. That sucks, I didn't realize it would take that long.
