Unhappy do all dc backups work on all dc systems

sponsored links

my question to everybody here is,does all dc backups work on all dc systems. the reason i ask this is because i have been buying dc backups from someone on this site. i have made three separate orders from this person and everytime at least a couple of the dc backups do not work with or without the boot disk. each order is around 50 disc each time and it is frustrating when some if them dont work and i understand not everything is always 100%. but my last order which was 2 days ago, i got a order of 80 disc from this person and 38 of them did not work. i tried all the games with and without the boot disk twice and about half of them did not work. he says that not all games work for all systems. i am sorry for the long message. i just want some answers because i dont want to have to kick thsi person's ***. thanx lmk

i think i know what the problem is, i have a dreamcast that does the same thing. I believe that your system has been played to much and is not capable of handling some of the backups. it could also be that the person you are trading with is giving you bad copies.

Well to be honest, only about 5% of 100 games won't work. The guy who sold you those 36 non working games, should replace your disc, otherwise he rip you off. I have burn over 300 disc using cd clone, and only had about 2 or 3 not work.

To answer your question:
Yes, if you have a dc that can play backup, it should play all dc backup, unless the disc is burnt wrong, or the dc's laser is bad.

like Dragon said, if your DC plays backups in the first place then theres no need for a new laser or anything. My best bet is that its some bad disks. Maybe burned too fast with those 80 games.

No, All backups don't work on all Dreamcast's because I had a Dreamcast that gave me problems before.
