Unhappy :HELP: B/Screen, No CDROMs, after NT4 > W2k upgrade.

sponsored links
Heya peeps,

I need some straightforward help. And please don't just put 'go to ' I've been trying that, and much more, all day, and absolutely no joy.

I've just upgraded from NT4, where I was quite happily running a Philips PCRW804 (CDRewriter), and a Compaq DVDROM-114.

But since I've been running Win2000, it's failed to install drivers for either of them,- they're both shown by name in the device manager. But it just says they're usin the wrong drivers.

Also, when I close down, I now get a bluescreen saying 'DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE' and the only way out is to hit the reset button.

Any help would be hugely appreciated.

Cheers all,
