Question DVD Shrink and Chapter Stops

sponsored links

I used DVDShrink to edit certain movies (Start/Stop feature) for the kids. The finished product does not have any of the original chapter stops.

Which program can be used to place chapter stops in the movie? I was going to use SpruceUp, but I want to keep the subtitles.

Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Did you reauthor the disc or just use the regular mode that gives you the menu and special features selections? Also which version of DVD Shrink are you using?

I re-authored the movie to remove some scenes not adequate for kids. The result only has 2 chapters now.

I am using Shrink 2.3. Have not tried any earlier versions.

Thanks for the response.

Oh okay you are talking about adding in chapter points. Sorry I misunderstood. Yeah I would imagine you would have to use somthing like spruce up to reinsert chapter points in the movie.

I would try Spruce Up, but I wanted to keep the subtitles. I tried Ulead DVD Movie Factory, but it does not support AC-3.

As a fluke, I went back and tried DVD Shrink 1.3, and the SOB actually worked. It created "chapter stops" at each point of a new scene. The only downside is that the transition between scene freezes for a few seconds.

Hope Shrink will add a feature to keep original chapter stops in the future when you re-author a disc.

Have you tried the new DVD Shrink 2.3? VERY EASY to use and added some extra features (I didn't use 1.3 a whole lot so I couldn't tell you everything that is different).
