Default Set up new vid. card [; ; win2KPro]

OK, im gonna try to set up a new video card on an e-machine, it has an AMD 2000+ processor 40 gb a pre-installed S3 ProSavage8, and has an available AGP slot, what my main concern is will it fry my motherboard?, i bought it from my friend and hes too stupid to tell me how and wont sell me the manual, and what slot i put it in?

any help is greatly appreciated

M8 if it's an AGP card, it'll only fit in one slot. It should work w/out a problem, but you might have to disable the onboard graphics, either in the BIOS or in windows device manager.............BTW, I didn't think many emachines had an AGP slot. It'll be the top slot, slightly off center from the rest of them, and a different size/color than the rest of slots.................HTH

The AGP slot is a brown slot slightly smaller then the PCI slots, (white ones) dont worry about putting the card in the wrong slot because it will not fit in any other slot unless you took a hammer to it
