Default I cant find my external drive after formatting...

sponsored links

Hi there,
I'm new to all this computer malarkey and i've checked a lot of the threads and don't see anything to help me so if i've broken a thread, i apologize.
I recently formatted my XP the other day and so transferred my docs to my F: drive (250gb Western). After rebooting from CD, I couldn't find my F: drive. It shows up when I go into the RAID utility page but has an asterix next to it and a zero. It doesn't appear in disk management either. Is it something to do with lost drivers? Or am i not doing something properly?. I would appreciate any help. Thank you.
