Default "Plse Help loud noise comming from Pc" [Tiny; ; win98SE]

sponsored links

Now, this has happed before but the noise has always gone after a few minites or so, but for the last couple of days now its been continuously making this noise.

It sounds like a whirling noise and gets louder at times.

I'm not to sure what it is but I think it might be the fan if so does this mean I need a new fan?

Maybe, can't tell without being there, but take off the side of your case and listen when you turn it on to hear where the noise is at.

You should be able to figure out if you need a new fan or new whatever if it didn't make the sound when you first got your pc.

It's proberly is a fan if it is you proberly need a new one but you could try puting a couple of drops of oil in the bareing underneath the label and see if that help's.

The only noisy thing inside is the fan, so worth checking and replacing, if you need one let me know.

i keep getting noises from my PC too since about a month ago. Its quite a loud sound, but it doesnt happen all the time. If i hit the case with my hand then the sound stops for a bit, then continues again!

Both of you sound like you have a wire hitting the fan blades. This will cause a high pitch whine. Especially if you hit it and it goes away.
