I bought a computer, it's about 1 month old and the monitor started making a noise. I tried to change the resolution and the refresh rate, but it still make a noise. It's getting on my nerves!! Does anyone know how to get rid of it.

May be humming from electrical interference. Try different AC outlet.

May be buzz from bad transformer. Exchange for another one.

As Van Nugent said.

I had this problem also last year (twice) with 2 hand-me-down Dell monitors. After about a month of the humming, the hue became permanently distorted and finally, no picture at all. Anyway, if moving it doesn't take care of it, hope you got a warrenty.

Does the buzz actually come from inside the monitor?
It`s likely to be a coil or transformer which has developed loose windings and are now vibrating in sympathy with either line, field or mains frequency.
The commonest item I have had causing this has been the Scan Coils around the CRT neck. Almost impossible to cure.

Monitors should never make any noise.

Even if they suffer from electrical interference, they have suppressors which are designed to reduce and/or suppress any noise or interference.

Take it back.
