Default gaming port question

does anyone know a gaming port converter for my joystick as it has that port that fits into a port on a sound card but i do not have that on my lappy and i wanna us it on my lappy maybe convert to usb or serial?

I know you can get [URL=***********.maplin.co.uk/products/module.asp?CartID=030908125831304&moduleno=23256&P roducts=1]usb converters & I've also seen pccard (aka pcmcia) ones in the past.
Alternatively you can get a usb joystick.
