Just got my 105 so i'm a bit new to this dvd malarky. I bought some datawrite redtops x4 media from SVP. Im ripping using dvdshrink 2.3 and burning with Prassi 2.0. The end results burning at x4 speed are a bit crap to say the least, the films freeze on every copy made at x4 speed. But at x2 speed its a different story, the copys are spot on, my question is, is this the crappy redtops causing these freezes or my 105?. I'm thinking its the redtops, and with SVP backing up their products Im wondering if they will take these back an swap em for Ritek's.

I had problems with Redtops, when u hit burn in Nero, writer would say checking disks then nothing, regardless of speed selected. Yet it would write Infiniti 2x + Yellow tops, then I moved the burner onto master on the primary IDE channel and the daftest thing, it now burns redtops with good results to 4 x, firmware is the v1.33.
