Question Totally new to this

sponsored links

Hi all, First of all thanks in advance for any help you can give me. I'm a 100% complete Newbie here and have a few questions about modding my PS2. I've been wanting to do it for a while but with all the chips out there I'm not sure which way to go.

Eveyone will have different opinions on chips, but what would you recommend?
Solderless vs. Solder-in chips?
DVD + or - R?
Burning progams and process?

I'm not a newbie when it comes to soldering, that I can do. Do the chips come with information on where to place these chips? I'm assuming you can't just place it anywhere inside the case.

Anything else I need to know to do this?

Cheers,

Mike

I will find out my PS2 version today and post it tonight.

Personally I'd recommend the solder versions over solderless any day. All major manufacturers offer install diagrams for their chips. For me i'd go with the Matrix Infinity. For media good quality dvd-r burnt at no more than 4x
